We have used Perl for back-end logic and Mootools JavaScript library for presentation.

This is an example of a customizable vehicle search system that we have developed. The screenshot links to wheatongm.com website, but we have this system working on hundreds of websites for vehicle dealerships in Canada and United States. I personally have been involved with both presentation and business logic layers. Traditionally we have used Perl and JavaScript.
